Hot Water Problems in Drummoyne

Josh kissed his wife, Sally, goodbye as she headed out the front door. “I’ll be back in a couple of hours,” she called out. Sally was planning on meeting a couple of her friends for lunch and a coffee, at a café near Drummoyne.

Josh closed the door and suddenly became aware of the sound of silence. He sat down on the couch and thought about how he would spend the next few hours. He had endured a busy morning and forgone his usual bath so decided that would be the first thing to do.

He entered the bathroom and started running the hot water. To his shock the water was a rusty brown. “What on earth?” he cried. He promptly turned the tap off and opened the cold water faucet but didn’t see a repeat of the strange colour. He tried the hot water again and the familiar brown water flowed into the bathtub. “I’m not having a bath in that!” he said to himself. He concluded that something must have gone wrong with the hot water. I guess I should call someone, he concluded. Josh had used a reputable plumbing company in the past and searched the house for their number. The company operated in Drummoyne and the outer suburbs of Lilyfield, Rozelle, Balmain, Russel Lea, Annandale, Glebe, Huntleys Point, Five Dock and Inner West. He didn’t, for one second, consider contacting another different group. He always made it a habit to stick to what he knew was best.

The buttons beeped as he dialled the phone and a person answered immediately.
He explained the horrid coloured water and was happy to hear that a plumber would be there to take a look, in the next hour.

Josh couldn’t help but feel self conscious, about not having had a bath or shower that day, and sprayed on extra deodorant to try and compensate. About half an hour later, he heard a car door closing so he looked out the window. A van was parked in his driveway. That must be them, he thought, and went to let him in.

The friendly guy introduced himself and asked to be shown to Josh’s hot water system. He explained that rusty water was usually a sign that the hot water system was deteriorating and that it would require replacement. “How long will it take to get a replacement hot water heater?” Josh asked glumly, and expected that he would be without his precious hot water, for a few days. “I can replace the hot water service now, if you want.” the plumber piped up. Josh looked up with surprise. “Really, he said?”

Upon their earlier consultation, the plumber gathered that it would require a replacement and had brought one along, just in case. “You’re brilliant!” Josh said with amazement.

An hour later, Josh and Sally’s new hot water system was installed and ready. Josh thanked the plumber for providing outstanding service. Just then Sally returned home and the plumber said hello as she passed him, in the driveway. “Who was that?” she queried. “Our hot water heater died on us but I had it replaced!” he replied. “That fast?” she continued with confusion. Josh went on to say that this plumbing company was renowned for their prompt and reliable service.
